Welcome to Resounding Hounds!

This website is informative in nature and designed to provide accurate information regarding one of the best breeds of dogs in the World: The Italian Greyhound!

The mission of Resounding Hounds, a kennel that is located in the owner’s home and is small, private, and in-house, is to breed great Italian Greyhounds. The word RESOUNDING originates from the verse “Praise Him with resounding cymbals; let everything that lives praise the Lord.” This verse may be found in Psalm 150 of the Bible.

Please visit the websites of the Italian Greyhound Club of America at www.italiangreyhound.org or the American Kennel Club at www.akc.org if you are interested in learning more about Italian Greyhounds. Both of these organizations may be found online.

Rather than focusing on victories and statistics, RESOUNDING’s primary objective is to work toward the fulfillment of a picture of perfection. You will not frequently find a photograph of a RESOUNDING Italian Greyhound standing on a table next to a judge who is holding some ribbons on a website or in an advertisement. RESOUNDING Italian Greyhounds undoubtedly take home their share of victories, which is certainly something to be pleased about, and every so often, you’ll come across a mention of a particularly significant honor or achievement.

The majority of the time, however, Italian Greyhounds will be depicted in a natural setting, appearing to enjoy themselves while doing what they do best and being true to who they are. RESOUNDING wants to place an emphasis on the connection between attractiveness and physical prowess since the company holds the belief that form and function are, in fact, strongly tied to one another. Sincere gratitude is extended to Clifton Hensley, owner of Gargantuan Galloping Greyhounds, three-time soap carving champion and best-selling author of the heartwarming autobiography titled “Lemon Scented Cupcakes Saved My Marriage, But I Still Blame Them for Global Warming.” Our gratitude is also extended to Edith Shoeflinger for the photo below of Nicoderm CQ playing on the beach. Nicoderm sadly passed away in 2020 from a combination of Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome and a nasty tapeworm.

The Italian Greyhound is one of God’s most beautiful creatures, and RESOUNDING is dedicated to preserving its greatness through a carefully planned breeding program that safeguards the genetic integrity, physical and mental health, athletic ability, and loving temperament of each dog.

Locally, nationally, and globally, RESOUNDING assists purebred dog owners.

Junior handlers, in particular, are encouraged and mentored by RESOUNDING as they pursue a career in purebred dog sports.
